BASS Report post Posted February 23, 2007 A Species At Risk Biologist for Parks Canada e-mailed them to a friend, and then then he e-mailed them to me. Now here they are for your enjoyment. I'd hate to be stuck in that tree stand until they left.

dcarrot Report post Posted February 24, 2007 It's amazing what an organized group can accomplish! You've got to respect them for that.
azhuntnut Report post Posted February 24, 2007 I was over on the San Carlos last weekend and met a rancher that had about six dogs hanging around his ranch. He told me that they don't feed them and the dogs go out and take down animals so they can eat. He told me that just the day before, one of them had killed a javelina. There wasn't a mark on the dog. He even said that sometimes they will take down one of there calfs when they get real hungry. I guess when you get a group of canines together, they can do just about anything. Three of the dogs on the ranch were friendly and would come right up to you. They even had a little hound in them and would chase mountain lions off of the ranch and run the cats for a while. muskrat Report post Posted February 25, 2007 There's a series of pics on the Outdoor Life site that show a doe getting eaten (alive) by a wolf. I know it's what nature does, but seeing her hanging around with her hams gone was disturbing.
