Guest oneshot Report post Posted September 13, 2014 I think I posted this a few years ago, but for those that didnt see it... It is getting that time of year when hunting camps are being planned and sitting around a fire at hunting camp talking is one of Lifes joys, this little trick can make your campfires more colorfull. Take a few 18inch lengths of copper pipe 2inch diam. and flaten and roll over one end to seal it, make 6 of these. Take an old garden hose and cut it into 2foot sections. Fold the garden hose in half and insert into the copper pipes. When your campfire is burning well, toss three loaded pipes into the fire. The high heat from the burning hose causes the copper pipe to give off fumes that turn the fire into blue, green, red, pink flames that last approx. 10mins. Remove the pipes with tongs when the fire color starts to return to normal, drop them in a water pail to cool-off, and toss the other three into the fire and re-load the burned pipes. Does it need to be said that the copper pipes are going to be really hot when you remove them from the fire and to be carefull??? Enjoy
muledeerarea33? Report post Posted September 13, 2014 What's 2" copper pipe cost these days? 100 bucks or so? And are the fumes from the hose toxic?
