Rain and Hot worries

It doesn't look like the rut is kicking in, haven't heard any calling, and its supposed to be hotter than average in the Kingman area for most of the hunt. I was hoping I could at least hunt some of the good waters if the rut wasn't good, but its been raining up here for a couple hours now, with 90% chances of more tomorrow. So I guess, bring on the spot and stalk! Just worrying...

Be patient. The rut can happen overnight at any time. My early hunt a few years ago i only had a couple days of rut activity for the whole two weeks. But those couple days were great.

It is the time of year, they can't turn it off. They may not be as active in the hotter weather, but the days are getting shorter and heat can't turn off biology. Enjoy the hunt!

I was in 3B last week and listened to bugles every night. Friday morning I seen a 300ish bull pushing about 15 cows around.
