Isn't it nice to unwind from bowhunting with a morning of dove hunting?! Its almost like a vacation within a vacation...always look forward to sep 1!

LOVE opening day of dove season! Just finished the traditional bacon and eggs breakfast after a nice opening morning with my kids and friends. Plenty of doves where we were! Good thing I brought us lots of shells!! Typical hit ratios!

I was at my hunting spot at 4:30am lol.

Slaughtered them! Had a great opening morning hunt with my brother and cousin. Best hunting I have seen in years. Got my limit of 15 plus 3 Eurasians in about an hour and a half, and that was taking my time and picking my shots. Schooled my brother and cousin too, only shooting a box. They got 10 each, with a total of 7 boxes between them!!! More hunters than I have seen in years too, but plenty of birds around. Had a blast! I'll be out again this weekend with my nephew added to the gang.
