Whole new coaching staff and new system, going to be some growing pains this year. Hopefully the start to improve each week.

Kinda weird, two weeks of the season gone by and zero wins between BR and Show Low. The world is ending. Lol.

The thing that you will never get back are the traditions that were established over the years. You will see them less and less as the years go on even if the new coaches try to keep them up. Those are the things that make you win because the boys bought into them over the last 30 years. It will be very hard for this new coaching staff to reciprocate that.

Keep in mind they are a very young team this year. Also, both Sahuarita and Prescott are Division III schools, BR is division IV. We've got a new coach, and a lot of sophomores and juniors playing against older and more experienced guys from much bigger schools. No doubt there's going to be some rebuilding, but the boys really like their new coach and they are working really hard.

Did Coach London leave as well?

If they still have him on board it won't be long til the Jackets get back on track.

Trust me, some of the rest of us on the mountain are happy to see them have to regroup, give the rest of us a chance come Thanksgiving weekend.....best of luck to the Jackets and their new coach they have big shoes to fill but Blue Ridge football definitely raised the bar for the rest of us and I bet they will continue to put out good teams.

The list I saw of Sahuarita was a couple years old, so if they've moved to D4, my apologies.

Regardless, both teams in numbers and physical size were way larger than us. My son is one of the sophomores playing varsity for BR this year.

Or you live in a community where high school football is part of the culture and you enjoy watching your boy go out and have some fun playing smash mouth football.......I guess it does suck somehow.......probably better than my vacuum cleaner but oh well....I can handle this kind of suck.....
