Big Browns Report post Posted August 25, 2014 I've been scouting all my spots the past couple of weekends. It's not looking very good! I've seen very few dove in the spots that I've been slaying the birds in the past couple of years. I'm not seeing many birds flying like I have in recent years. Just wondering if anyone else is seeing the same thing? I'm wondering if the rains have pushed the birds further south. Adam

missedagain Report post Posted August 25, 2014 If I had to take a wild uneducated guess I would say the favorable conditions in the desert have the birds spread out and not relying on certain fields for food.

Guest akaspecials Report post Posted August 26, 2014 They are looking pretty thick in my spots this year. The rain would not have pushed them south and it hasn't been cold enough to push them yet.

khmer6 Report post Posted August 26, 2014 They are still around but they aren't moving around as much since the rains has pretty much stocked up food and water everywhere you step. It'll be good though, hopefully people will be more spread out and it won't be raining lead on my kids

PRDATR Report post Posted August 26, 2014 Sherman, You will need a $5 Migratory/Waterfowl Stamp to hunt Dove which you can get at any G&F Retailer. You also need to plug your shotgun.
