At first I was pretty jacked on the idea of building one. The more I read, the more I think I am better off with a 6.5 that eats less powder. I'll change my mind again tomorrow I am sure.

speaking with a guy in Washington state last month and he said a couple of his friends have this rifle and at max velocity the accuracy isn't there, back off the velocity for accuracy and it isn't much faster than the 6.5x284

 

not my story so have nothing to say pro or con on this, just sharing info that was shared with me

For me in 6.5, something with 50-60 grains of capacity shooting a 140 at 3K is about perfect for a hunting cartridge -

 

If I need more, I'll step up to a large capacity 7...
