Sneaker Report post Posted August 18, 2014 I just wanted to make sure those who use this app know, I just found there is map they make(free), called "Public Land" that simply is a land ownership map. So if it is private, BLM, State, etc, shows all the colors. Very useful. I really like the app, have had it for a few years, tons of map options to layer on, never failed me in the field.

Flash Report post Posted August 22, 2014 I looked at that app a while back, I believe it is $20. Just wanting to clarify, are you saying once you get it there is a good free map to pull up? Thanks.
Sneaker Report post Posted August 22, 2014 Yes, I just bought the standard price app, and there are 15 or 20 maps that you can use for free, you just go to the maps section and add them, including google earth/satellite view, google terrain, road maps, bunch of government maps, and the property map. Then you just save map sections onto your phone for areas you will be out of service in, and after that it works as a gps even without cell service.
CSNeoM4A1 Report post Posted August 31, 2014 Looks like to me you have to be a Gaia Pro subscriber for that to work?
Sneaker Report post Posted November 3, 2014 No, standard app can download most of the maps. I really like the new updates on the most updated app. You have all these options now of what details you want to show at any time at the bottome of your map: current altitude where you are all the time, sunrise/sunset, speed, distance, ascent, you can record map sessions etc.
