stanley Report post Posted January 7 Gained 10lbs since mid October. Basically the result of going off the rails on my eating habits..... Been hiking the AZ Trail and have knocked off some tough sections but, "hiking shape" is NOT equal to being in "good shape". Gotta get my carbs/sweets in check. BTW, to answer your question, I did not workout in the gym, but did go to a hot yoga class. lol

I just fluctuate body fat. You simply can’t make any noticeable gains after a while if you’re training consistently, training very hard, naturally, for a long time. But you still gotta do it cuz it’s good for you and you’ll lose it if you don’t. 2

Ya, I tried hot yoga several years ago at the recommendation of my doc, who was clearly tired of hearing me bitch about my lower back pain.... LOL Anyway, it can be quite a workout. Obviously less about 'bulking-up' and more about flexibility/strength. The 'sweat level' sort of reminds me of a high school wrestling workout, which I like. Plus, yep, I live in the Old Town area and the classes are about 90% women, so there's that.... lol

stanley Report post Posted Tuesday at 11:48 PM For sure, it has made a difference. Wasn't a miraculous change, but over time I have experienced WAY less lower back pain. Still flare-ups sometimes (usually the result of lifting something at an awkward angle), but in general it has improved.

HuntHarder Report post Posted Wednesday at 02:35 AM I hit the gym today around 2. I've gone 5 times in 2025. New years day was mass chaos in there. I went around 10 am and it was the busiest I have ever seen it. I use the gym not only for gains, but also to just decompress at the end of my day. Nothing like older rap and reps.

Quagmire Report post Posted Wednesday at 11:48 PM Been hitting the gym quite a bit but I am really committed to losing weight. Been hovering around 205-210 and want to be at 185. I'm 5'6" and 44 so I have a hard time keeping weight off. I certainly don't drop weight like I did in my 20's or early 30's. Food is both a blessing and a curse and need more discipline. Lifting 4x a week and trying to get that too at 4x. Got me a personal trainer who is hot and motivates me to stay on track!
