CouesWhitetail Report post Posted August 11, 2014 Hey All, Quite a while ago, sponsor Mark Healy of Healy Arms suggested to me that we make a section devoted to hunting fitness. This new subforum is designed to focus discussions on how to train for your hunt and nutrition. We also have forum members, like Steven Ward, who have recently become certified trainers who are eager to share some excellent knowledge about targeted exercise and nutrition. It's my hope that content in this subforum will help motivate and teach people how to train for their hunts so they can get the most out of their time in the outdoors. Do you have a favorite way you prepare for your hunts? What kind of nutrition do you use for keeping your energy up during your hunts? How to you get your arms ready for bow season? Share your tips and tricks so we can all learn. Thanks!

Havasuhunter Report post Posted August 11, 2014 Great idea. I consider hunting a physical sport, where training and fitness are a huge part of the package and enjoyment. No offense to anyone, but if my butt ever becomes glued to a 4wheeler like some out there, I will give up hunting. Boots on the ground in the quiet fresh air is what it's all about.
CouesWhitetail Report post Posted August 11, 2014 I say fitness challenge time! Winner receives an item I will donate. We have tossed ideas around about a weight loss challenge or fitness challenge. But haven't had time to come up with the guidelines for how that would work. But if you have ideas on how to make it work, I am all ears. I will of course donate prizes.
