To the Administration

Recommended Posts

My self imposed removal of my political content is not motivated by any form of "Protest", or reprisal. Rather, it is a matter of personal choice. Similar to erasing a mistake on a blackboard. Amanda, as well as a number of members, have expressed concerns over a dislike of non hunting politics on this forum. I understand, and respect, those concerns, hence, my reason for removing content created by me. It has never been my intention to create animosity among the membership. I don't apologize for what I believe in, but I will keep my political babble on internet sites that are more suited for that type of dialogue. I do not wish to disrupt the intended vision of this website, nor create problems for the administration.

There are other members here who should consider a more civil path when people post something they don't agree with, rather than resorting to open hostility and name calling. Things can become toxic when one member pushes another too far. There are other entities that can ruin a website other than Political posts. It comes down to how people respond. I hope everyone can honor the same request that was asked of me.

I would have saved the trouble and deleted the entirety of my topics. However, this website does not allow the author of a topic to delete they're own topic in the political forum.

Peace.

Thanks for the explanation Snapshot. It is my hope you continue to participate in the CWT forum. Sorry you felt the need to remove your content, that was never my intention.

and I completely agree with your statement below! It's always been my wish that people could be more civil when dealing with opinions different than their own.

fyi, I believe the forum does allow you to delete your own topics, but only if someone hasn't replied to them. Once others are involved in the discussion it doesn't let you remove the original post in the thread because then you would be deleting other members comments in addition to your own.

Agree 100% SnapShot...

I wont be deleting my posts, because then the whole thing is out of context, but hopefully they will be pushed back and die a silent death, or Amanda can delete the entire topic...

Plus 100 FlatLander... soon, very soon...

Randy at HuntTalk just did the same thing. IMO what do hunters BS about around the camp fire? Old hunt stories and politics. There seem to always be 2-3 paid political bloggers that infiltrate every site and troll all day and night. Once you figure that out we can have some pretty interesting discussions. How many threads are political and have anything to do with hunting? maybe a few each year? I think you can do whatever turns your crank but it will eventually lose a lot of readers here. Do like The Texas Fishing Forum and have moderators give access to the political forum so all the people who are offended never see any of the posts?
