4Falls Report post Posted February 3, 2007 Im looking to buy a new treestand this year, possibly a climber was wondering what type and brand you guys use. I already have a small hang on type (uncomfortable) and a homemade hang on that takes two men and a boy just to get it in the tree.
TREESTANDMAN Report post Posted February 3, 2007 http://www.basspro.com/servlet/catalog.Tex...f7-c97fd7aaf714 I own this treestand and I absolutely love it!!! It is very light, quiet and stable. It is easily adjustable for difference tree circumferences. I recently fell out of a tree. (my gorilla hang on armrest broke) so I won't be able to use a climber for probably over 1 year. (vertabrae fractures) I'll sell you mine for a decent price. Pm me if interested. Mike
mikep35 Report post Posted February 5, 2007 I have an API and I absolutely love it. I've had it for about 4 years now and it is so comfortable that I've actually nodded off a few times in freezing cold weather. It's a climber and it weighs about 20 lbs. It's a little awkward to carry in( The straps are uncomfortable and make carrying the stand difficult). But overall its an awesome deal. I think I picked it up for about 250.00 from Cabelas
TREESTANDMAN Report post Posted February 5, 2007 Mike, I agree with you. The straps are the one thing they need to improve. If you are hiking a long distance it does get uncomfortable. I'll go ahead and post my price $150.00 with safety harness $125.00 without (In case you have your own or want to buy a safety vest instead)
