BeardownAZ Report post Posted August 6, 2014 Looking at what other people have used that worked good. Main concern is accuracy. I have a newer Win Mod 70 in 270 WSM and shoots good but havent tried aton of factory loads so not sure of its potential yet. Any grain or type of bullet seem better in this caliber? Eventually I will get down to reloading for it but just dont have the dedicated time right now I'd like for reloading. Thanks

1uglydude Report post Posted August 6, 2014 I have the exact same rifle, but I have only ever shot handloads out of it. Mine likes the 129 gr Barnes LRX using 61.4gr of Reloader 17. Groups one inch at 200 yards. Chronographed speed over three different machines is 3350 fps. The groups opened up a bit when I added powder and I started seeing pressure signs at 61.9 to 62 grains. MULEPACKHUNTER Report post Posted August 6, 2014 I like the 130 grain remington core lokt in mine. I have some hand loads ready, but havnt tried them yet. I picked up one of these recently and the remington is all I have shot so far but it was really good.
BeardownAZ Report post Posted August 6, 2014 Ill have to keep these loads in mind once I start reloading again. I heard Winchester 140 grain Accubond where good in a diff website. Perhaps true as they seem to be sold out everywhere.
