Kevin Report post Posted February 2, 2007 Somehow the stud that screws into the binoculars (15x56's) came out of my binoculars in the field. I have scoured the internet trying to find just the stud but can't. Has anyone else ever had this problem and were you able to find the stud without having to replace the entire adapter ($100)? GameHauler Report post Posted February 2, 2007 Kevin, couldn't you use a 1/4 X 20 screw or bolt and one of those little star washers to retain it to the adapter? I made my own adapter for mine and thats what I use. Have to use my leatherman to take off and put on but most of the time I just leave it on. Mike
azsagebrush Report post Posted February 2, 2007 Kevin, if we are talking about the same piece, yes i have lost mine in the field. i called the Outdoorsman's in PHX. 800-291-8065 and they sent one in the mail, the cost w/ shipping was around $8 to $9.00. the piece screwed in the front of the glasses and there was a small allen head set screw to secure it, same "Critter"? i hope this helps.
