Haha - you were there the same time I was. I drove 45 minutes each way just to pick up some of their fall sale items.

Uh..... What is the 'normal' you're referring to? 10 cents a round with a two box limit is normal?

If that was what you were referring to, then unfortunately I think you might be right. These prices (and for now, availability) ARE the new normal, IMO. ;)

:)

PS: Thanks for posting azhuntnut! Hopefully some forum members who want some ammo can get over their and get some.

Think positive! there are hoarder companies trying to off load 50,000 plus rounds at a time right now.. I see sale prices and all time low prices on 22lr coming soon. they cant afford to sit on them if demand is gone and they will be forced to bail out on their stock. We may not get 9.99 bricks but im pretty sure it will drop low. serves them right for making matters worse. glad to see some companies have maintained normal pricing.

I remember when I was a kid going into garage and blasting a brick at a sitting into a big chunk of beam cuz I was bored and dad didnt sweat the ammo cost at all. I want those days again.

Right! what we can do is quit paying the insanely high prices to the companies that are pouring fuel on the fire ya know.. why give those people our money? I called multiple companies 6 months back looking for 243 and answer I got was we no longer sell from an order or phone call you must purchase off gunbroker. I purchased a case of 243 but only cuz I got it for normal $32ish a box shipped. looking back I wish I had noteven done that.

Of course I say all this cuz I dont have 22lr age kiddos in house currently and for the 5yr old that is about to get a Cricket for Christmas im glad I found a shoe box full of old 22lr in my garage! :) god bless the companies that are for the sportsman and not against us.

If my boys still wanted to plink 22s like crazy , really whats the difference in plinking with a 1250 fps air rifle at 50 yards. They will still enjoy themselves and the purchaser is not getting bent over. If your actually using them for hunting, then thats a different story.
