Has anyone had success with the Outdoorsman packs? I'm looking to buy one. but wasn't sure if they hold up well. And what do yall know about the external frame, v.s the internal frame?

This will be my 3rd season with the outdoorsmans optics pack and I love it! Its super comfortable and can haul weight. I am not very easy on packs and this one has had minor issues (buckles) but I called Cody and he sent me new ones no questions asked. Ive always been an external frame fan. This pack is on my back if were packing in for days or just in and out in a day. I recommended it!

Ive had multiple badlands packs and they don't come anywhere near the quality of this pack.

Hope this helps!

I've got one. I am really happy with it. I've used it as a day pack and for trips of several nights. It's well layed out and has a pocket for tripod and another for spotting scope. If you do have any problems with it take it into outdoorsman and I'm sure they will fix it for you. I had a minor problem with the hip belt and they replaced the whole belt for free.

My only complaint is my tripod is to fat to fit in the pocket easily.

This helps a lot! I currently have a black creek western hunter.. its an ok pack, but not big enough, and the zippers and buckles have not held up well at all. i send it back to them about twice a year. and im getting tired of it.

but I like the reviews I've been reading.

I've heard nothing but good about the Outdoorsman's pack. I ended up buying the Mystery Ranch Crew Cab instead and love it, if you're looking for other options.

Can you carry a rifle on this pack.

Yes you can carry a rifle or a bow. I especially like that when carrying the rifle, the muzzle is pointed up.
