Snapshot Report post Posted July 28, 2014 Sorry for bugging you about the photo's, but I had too. Awesome pics. Yellowstone is a great place for an outdoor adventure. How were the crowds on the river?

Flatlander Report post Posted July 29, 2014 My Grandfather was a mechanic for the park service so my Dad and his brothers grew up in the park. I have many fond memories of summers there and going to college in the area. TJ if you ever decide to go and need a tour guide list say the word.
missedagain Report post Posted July 29, 2014 Great pictures! Yellowstone is such an awesome place, I can't wait to take my son there for the first time. I agree that bear looks much more black than grizzly.

Havasuhunter Report post Posted July 31, 2014 Awesome. I lived in MT and loved going there. Much of the water was probably closed to you. Don't most open in June with some not until July? When the smaller waters open it can be very good fishing. I always found better fishing outside of the park though. No place on earth with better scenery or more interesting though. Yellowstone is like being in a Parallel universe sometimes. Glad you had a great trip and thanks for sharing the pictures. Brings back great memories. Snapshot Report post Posted July 31, 2014 The Yellowstone, and it's tributaries, open July 15th to protect the spawning Cutthroat's. I always hit the opener when I'm up there. The crowds in Yellowstone can be a big pain in the rear. Go in early. There is fantastic fishing available If a person has the time and willingness to get off the beaten path. A few of us hiked into the Hellroaring creek drainage one time and caught Cutthroat's by the dozens, and nobody else around.
