andyk_14 Report post Posted December 1, 2014 Speaking of 34a...I just spent 3 days in east sawmill canyon below the comm towers at Melendez pass. I saw 30+ does and fawns, same groups over and over. No bucks. A lot of deer seen but no antlers. Anyone else in that area? I was around that area on Friday and filled my tag with a decent 5 point, I watched 12 doe all walking towards on valley on the side of a ridge so I snuck around to glass and he was bedded down under a tree. Congrats...I'm heading back out on Thursday to finish the hunt. Debating on the same area or elswhere in the unit. I saw way too many hunters up top at the pass and over near rosemont.
