OpticNerd Report post Posted July 24, 2014 Is it possible for a person to surrender or give back their deer tag to the AZGF after doing so would said person now be eligible to apply for a leftover deer tag?
Heat Report post Posted July 24, 2014 The short answer is "NO". There is no tag surrender option in AZ. You may still be able to get the leftover and only use one tag, since the bag limit is one. I can remember a day when there was a 2 deer bag limit as long as one was killed with a left over tag. That was a LONG time ago, LOL!
bigorange Report post Posted July 24, 2014 What if you donate to one of the charities? Can you then pick up a leftover? I assume the answer would be yes...just not sure.

If you submit an application for a leftover having already been issued a tag through the draw, they will reject the application.
OpticNerd Report post Posted July 24, 2014 Thanks for the info guys. I thought I wanted to hunt muleys this year but lately I've came down with a serious case of coues fever. O well at least the wife got a coues tag. Now if I can just convince her to let me go with her
