I've done a fair amount of research on bears and I find this to be an excellent video on judging bears. I think many times bears are judged to be "big" simply because encounters are few and far between for hunters. If your simply looking to fill your tag or take your first bear being selective isn't an issue. Either way bear hunting is exciting!
