Looking for a Vineyard or Winery Near Payson to ShowLow area--Crawfish Festival

Recommended Posts

Headed up to Heber for the Crawfish Festival again but we are leaving a day early and the ol lady wants to do some wine tasting preferrably at a Winery or Vineyard. We will be going through Payson to get there. So is there one in Payson or Show Low, Holbrook, area? Any where in that direction. The only ones I can find are in verde and cottonwood, and I dont want to detour that much.

By the way the Crawfish Festival is Aug 2 up at Bison Ranch in heber and its a blast.

I've never herd of one in the Payson area. there are a lot of really cool restaurants & stores in the Payson, Strawberry, Pine area that are really fun to explore.

do you know who amanda?

I can't think of his name or the name of his vineyard at the moment. But a couple years ago we were talking about potentially hosting a CW get together there. Maybe he will see this and post up. Or hopefully I can find his contact info in an old PM or email.

I have not been to it but I was wondering about it last week while I was sitting on the bank at Woodscanyon Lake. I was wondering if they would run out. I'd hate to drive all the way up there for nothing plus I'd expect it to be expensive for what you would actually if they charge like $15 a plate. One thing I like about visiting my brother in South Louisiana is just sitting around the kitchen table with family drinking beer Louisiana Style.

Not a winery, but there is a pretty good brewery in Lakeside called the Pinetop Brewing Company that appears to have a pretty good selection of wines in addition to hand-crafted beers. It shares space with Stolen Recipe BBQ so it's a fun little place to get some good BBQ & beer/wine.
