I have spent alot of time in 36b this year and I am just fed up with that unit. So far I have helped the BP catch around 75 illeagls inculding 25 this AM, right off the Arivaca road. I also saw 4 drug runners during my December rifle hunt, all carring weapons. Seeems everytime I see them they are right where the deer I am hunting lives, the ones from this morning were alomost on my glassing hill and of course that is where I have seen a decent 3x4 mule deer that I just can't seem to get close enough to. The drug runners were in a canyon where I was trying to find 90+ish WT.

I guess its time to find a new unit.

I was just wondering what other hunters have been seeing down there, I was under the impression that the illeagal situation was getting better, but I just don't see it.

I won't hunt with my kids down south because of all the illegal traffic. It sure does suck we have to plan our fun around illegal aliens. Let's make them all legal and it won't be a problem, yea right, funk that!!!

I dont think the illeagal and drug runner situation is going to get better anytime soon, last weekend I was down in 34b and found a dead illeagal hung in a tree. And like gotcoues said I wont be taking my boys hunting down south anymore <_<

Through this last season I have been lucky and have only seen several small groups of illegals and all were at a distance except for a group of 3. There is still a problem on the border and there probably will always be but it is not as bad as it was 3 years ago.

I agree with younghunter last fall did not seem as bad as years past but we camped in the Jr. Camp and that Monday after everyone left some illegal’s helped themselves to my food stock and sodas. It always gives me an uneasy feeling down along the border but I love hunting there. It just sucks to glassing some prime Coues real-estate and find 10 illegal’s walking through the same canyon. We also gave direction to 3 illegals walking north and asked us wich way to mexico. Must of been drug runners trying to return.

Guys, its not getting any better. On the Kings Anvil Ranch in unit 36C, there are easliy 200+ illeglas coming thru a day. And in Unit 36A by the Caballo Loco RV park, there are even more coming thru. And this is 30+ miles from the border, and north of our National Guard and Border Patrol.

I cannot believe that picture and considering our recent incident with our National Guard, it's only going to get worse until a wall is built and it going to have to be a big one....... More Boarder Patrol would sure help!!

Haven't you guys been reading the papers and watching the news? These guys aren't "illegals", they are "immigrants"!
