MOWhitail Report post Posted July 18, 2014 I'm curious what condition 6B is in now. My cousin lives in Sedona, but she doesn't get out and travel the FS Roads at all. I hunted in there a couple years ago with my son, so we were just wondering how it looked now. Chad
cosninocanines Report post Posted July 18, 2014 Worked on a water catchment burned in the fire out on Harding Point. In that area there are quite a few large green islands and the mulching operation has covered a lot of the black. We did see a few deer in the black but no elk. The area remains closed and I suspect it will still be closed come hunting season for this year anyway. This link will take you to the order and page 3 is a map of the closed area. http://www.fs.usda.gov/Internet/FSE_DOCUMENTS/stelprd3806731.pdf

Didnt see any animals in the black at all...should be open by archery time hopefully.... Right now it is going to stay closed until 9/31 but they can open it sooner if they choose to do so. There could be some serious mud or rock slides if the ground gets saturated.
MOWhitail Report post Posted July 19, 2014 Thanks everyone. I will be in Sedona to visit my cousin late this summer, at some point. I thought we might camp a few days while we are there. I'll post a report later, if we end up there before the season starts.
