With tag fees fees going up I don't want them running off.and that bigger bullet for those kittys at long range. Seen 4 together in Nov.

I am guessing since he is from Alaska he might want a large caliber like that for bear and moose. THe 458 win mag does not have as much recoil as you would think so you know. I was able to shoot 1 over the summer and it feels abou the same as a 300 win mag.

a 458 may not have the much recoil but it is a .458 diamter bullet.. comparable to ur 460. .174" larger than your .280 and .181" larger than my 270wsm, a big gun for anything in arizona let alone coues if thats what he plans on using it for.

 

 

 

yeah it is probably being used in AK and heck even i want a dang big bore! i want something to hunt those mean lizards we have in az with! (.338 ultra would be a starting point with a .416 rigby about right)

actually, in all seriousness i would also like to have a big bore 338, 325wsm, 35 whelen something along those lines as a 'just cause' rifle
