RUTT???

Recommended Posts

You are right 30a is a little still but thats only because i am not finding as many deer as usual. Even in November and october i see more deer, but the deer that i am seeing are rutting. I can't figure things out but i think alot of it has to do with this weather. Where have you been hunting, if you don't mind me asking?

I was down in the lower part of unit 22 a couple days ago, and we found a big muley with 4 does. A couple weeks earlier was by himself.

the past couple of times i have been out in 36b we saw both little rut, and heavy rut. one nice buck was alllll busted up but was chasing two does very hard. on another hill side, there was 4 bucks, 3 small and one in the 80-90" range. he allowed the bucks to be around but not get close to the one doe that was in the area and he had a broken G2

I have been seeing smaller bucks showing good rut activity since the first week of january. The smaller bucks really started to hear up the last 2 weeks and this last weekend was the first time I have seen a good size buck showing any rut activity. I think the rut is really just starting to heat up in the southern units. All of this was in 36b.

Yes... I have been in 30b, however I have been doing some scouting in 30a and 29 as well. I think the rutt is still going good in the southern parts. I'm not so sure what all this snow is going to do??? We'll see...
