SilentButDeadly Report post Posted January 24, 2007 Went out the last two days with my father-in-law hunting desert muleys. Found a nice 4x4 yesterday morning only to lose him in the fog coming off the snowy desert. Yesterday was an amazing day with all of the snow and frost everywhere. Found him again today, had 6 does with him. 1st shot went bad, hit him in the gut. After blood trailing, bedding, and chasing him for the next 4 hours I put him down with a 75 yard downhill shot. I have 5 coyotes to thank, they encircled him and were ready to harass him to death, but they gave me time to come around the mountain and put another arrow in him. More D Report post Posted January 24, 2007 Very cool! Congrats. Nice mulie. Sure didn't take the coyote long to find him did they. You whould have never found him if you had decided to come back the next day. Now you can have some fun coyote shooting to do after the season is over. azyoung Report post Posted January 24, 2007 Congrats! real nice buck. I had the same thing happen on the strip. Tracking a wounded buck and noticed coyotes standing on a large rock locking down at the buck. Sped up the tracking knowing exact location of the buck. azyoung

bobbyo Report post Posted January 24, 2007 Tyson, Congratulations, what a beautiful buck. It is pretty cool that we have our choice of species here in Arizona.
