Heavy Tow through Payson or Globe???

Recommended Posts

I'm towing a heavy load up from the valley to the Show Low area next weekend. This past week I had a debate with a couple of coworkers about which route was the safer route to tow with a heavy load, Payson or Globe? Anyone have a lot a experience with both that can weigh in? Thanks!

Payson doesn't have the Salt River Canyon. Go Payson.

Payson. It's not even close to a debate. Seen a lot of brakes smoked in SRC.

Seems unanimous thanks genteman. I'm of the same opinion and I've towed up both directions many times. But what got me curious was the difference in several long moderate climbs through Payson/rim at higher speeds vs the 1 steep drop/climb through the canyon at lower speed.

Payson is the only way to go. Much safer, more pull outs if necessary, etc

Another vote Payson.

Payson is the route the drug runners take. Must be the route of least resistance...................BOB!
