I was out this weekend walking around in the rain and snow searching for piggies, but they didn't seem to be moving around much. I went and checked some new areas this morning and when me and my buddy pulled into camp around 11am, there was a coyote standing at about 120 yards. He was eating dog food that the prior camper had left from this weekend. I was able to get out of my vehicle, sneak into my trailer and grab my trusty .243. The first shot was about 1/2 in. low(due to overzealous excitment) and took out both of his front legs, but the next one did him in. He is by far the biggest coyote I have shot. He must have been about 45 pounds and his coat was really nice. He had one patch on his back where it looks like he has been going under some barbed wire alot, but the rest was thick and had lots of color. At least I was able to find something this weekend, even if it was pure luck. David
