Shooter McGavin Report post Posted July 4, 2014 Sent mine on June 9, got confirmation that it arrived at destination. Now it's a waiting game. Even though its free of charge, I am little scared that some schmuck in the shipping/receiving department might walk off with my gun between here and there. I did inquire with Harry Lawson Gunsmithing and he wanted $150, wondering if I should have kept it local and supported a Tucson business. The world is full of good people......right!!!!! Got the confirmation email that it had been received and logged in on June 10th.

singleshot Report post Posted July 5, 2014 A little off topic but I bought an 870 a while back and it failed to extract the empty shells enough to really piss me off. It's an 870.... an american icon and they would put this out on the market fully knowing the problems that are obviously apparent. Yeah, you can send it back and they will fix it but they keep producing the exact same shotgun with the known issues. Polish the chamber and replace the extractor and clean up the machining and your good to go. Its an 870 for christs sake.... should you have to? Buy a new Marlin lever gun from the "new" factory owned by .... you guessed it.... a complete pile.

Sent it back and 6 weeks later had his shotgun mind you, this was pre-trigger recall times at remmy.

cw4192 Report post Posted July 5, 2014 They received mine on May 21st and I called on June 23rd I was told that they don't even have replacement triggers built yet. It could take up to 16 weeks. I asked them about the email that stated it would take 10-14 business days once received and they told me that it was a generic email. I raised a little heck over that comment. sjvcon Report post Posted July 6, 2014 1 word for you AZ Phoenix Locals .... TIMNEY. Customer service is awesome, and they build a really decent trigger for the $$. Don't waste your time sending it back to Remington ... at least I wouldn't do it.
khmer6 Report post Posted July 6, 2014 Bah! I knew I shouldn't of sent mine in. Where is the status update page you guys are using. And a for the fellow with the 870. Its most likely the 870 express, a different animal from the 870 icon. Make sure your chamber is clean as well.
