Snapshot Report post Posted June 30, 2014 Snapshot, "..felt like the bed was moving." Remember that sensation? I was in the Nisqually Quake and numerous others in WA and AK. I saw the Nisqually Quake approaching; was on the east end of the FT Lewis tank range, which is a prairie. Saw distant trees shaking and then the earth rolling like a giant rug being shook out. Was about 20 miles from the 6.8 epicenter. On the humorous side, an old timer I was with lost his balance in the quake and grabbed on to me as he fell, pulling my pants down. Felt like I was in a Laurel and Hardy skit. Almost forgot what a gyrating bed felt like. When I was up in Montana recently for a couple years, we used to get those little tremors now and again. On a fault line outside of YNP, with al the geothermal, and caldera activity.
