Norteno Report post Posted July 16, 2014 After a 45 minutes drive in traffic to get there and dropping $100 in raffle tickets I left early. I didn't participate in most of the raffles as you had to be present to win and that would have drug out till 930+. The Cabelas camping equipment raffle would have been awesome to win. Both Badlands packs started out cheap in the silent auction but towards 8pm the price went up near retail. The popular items looked to be the Yeti coolers. Ross Outdoors had both the Kaibab 20x56 and the Vulture 15x56 on tripods to check out. Arizona Wildlife Designs had an awesome Bull Pedestal and some nice elk racks on display. Trailhead Outdoors and No Limits Archery had good displays. Food was pretty good for $5. Other than that, I thought it was a really poor showing by most vendors. Overall, the seminar itself was great and thanks to Desert Christian Archers for putting it on.
lancetkenyon Report post Posted July 16, 2014 My 11 year old daughter and I had a good time. I did not drop any $$ on the raffles or the auctions, but wish I would have. Saw an old friend that I haven't seen in 10+ years working the AES booth. Thanks for the heads up on this. My daughter learned quite a bit, and I learned a few things too. Met some great people, saw a lot of future generation hunters having a good time, and got to fellowship with other Christian hunters. A true win/win.
