5guyshunting Report post Posted June 14, 2014 I was looking over the regs and read that it is legal to use pitfalls no greater than 5 gallon size. I hope people dont do this it sounds like a broken leg. Anyone heard of this?
PRDATR Report post Posted June 15, 2014 Not for game but we did this all the time back in the day. I would go into a wash and dig a hole, then put a 5 gallon bucket into it to catch reptiles, insects and such. Never a big deal back then as most hunters could still walk and chew gum at the same time.

My thought was a 5 gallon size hole with twigs, branches, and grass over the top. I dun know sounds a little strange. Maybe you could use it to catch a little strange? Who knows?
