TREESTANDMAN Report post Posted January 15, 2007 I realize this is kind of a peculiar request but if any of you guys tag a javelina and don't like the meat I'd love the pig donation? I will even drive to your house to pick up the gutted pig if you are in the Phoenix Metro area. I drew a Ham tag this year but won't be able to use it due to several recent injuries. I took a guy out this weekend and we got a pig......I think he's having it made into sausage.....if you guys are short on meat give me a call.....I'd give you shirt off my back and some meat! Anyone that wants javi meat needs to be checked out a bit more. Ron G. Report post Posted January 15, 2007 I just had the tenderloins off of my javelina the other night. Delicious! Just seasoned them, wrapped them in bacon and cooked them over direct heat. Very tasty! I turned the rest of it into sausage, but wish now I hadn't. This is the first time I've pig hunted in years and didn't really remember what the meat tasted like.
