Titanium700 Report post Posted June 12, 2014 What happens when a resident puts in with a nonresident on their deer apps? My fil (res) has 6 bp's, my son (nonres) 0 points. My fil put in with him being the party leader and my son added to his app and I was wondering will they both be treated as nonresidents because of my son or somewhere in between? They are trying for the 1097 whitetail hunt. Wonder what their chances are????
SunDevil Report post Posted June 12, 2014 if the 10% max for non residents has been met when your number comes up (even if there is still tags available) than none of the applicants will be issued tags. I do not think it will be an issue for the hunt you put in for though. I think there were leftovers for that hunt last year. Kind of interesting that someone would use 6 pts on that hunt. You must have a nice buck tied up to a tree somewhere. Good luck!
Titanium700 Report post Posted June 12, 2014 There is a few nice bucks we know of. Actually 3 that go over 100" last year and they survived. My fil really badly wanted to hunt with my son so that's the reason he did that. I know...I warned him. Lol He insisted though. I did not put in with them as I have double digit bp's and have been trying to draw a strip tag. If I don't draw my strip tag (which I probably won't) I am going to try to get a leftover tag in their unit.
