**Mikey don't understand new license can anyone explain cuz G & F operator sure can't

Recommended Posts

So if you buy a license in september for spring hunt draw and it is good till fllowing september what happens in June when you apply for a october hunt??? is it really 365 days if you have to buy new license 4 months early??? does it start last day in 4 months when old one ends??

So i purchased license for daughter on tue morn "deadline day" and when i applied online it popped up a different license number and would not allow changes.. so i probably had already purchased 1 for her to apply for spring 2014 hunts?? either way G & f did not say she had 1 already and if she does what if it expires in september?? The online draw app system would not allow me to put in her new license #. ?

Anyone understand this?? besides the obvious "put in earlier comments"? thx

If you bought her a license for the spring draw you will have a liscense for a year jan 1 2014 to dec 31 2014. You also now have a license from yesterdays date until this date next year. They will not refund your money for the additional license. When you apply for future hunts it will show the same one you did this time up until dec31. Next elk season use the number off the one you just purchased.I hope this made sense.

Kinda makes sense but having them current for calendar year makes the most sense.. so i only bought 1 tuesday cuz i did not have 1 in my wallet for her, do they not mail 1 out when you. purchase online? shouldn't the g & f lady who sold me a 2014 license on tuesday tell me she is reading daughters info off of a 2014 license to apply to a 2014 license?????

I would think the lady would have told you that your daughter already had a valid license.

They dont email you a copy of the license when you buy it online. You must print it when you buy it. I would also save a copy to you cpu just incase you wash it or lose it, you can just print off another one without paying for a duplicate.

bonecollector: if you purchase them online you can now go in and reprint at any time at no cost. Once you get to the page where you can: Apply for a draw, Check bonus points, or update billing if you look in the writing above those 3 tabs you will see: NO HUNTING LICENSE WILL BE MAILED TO YOU: and at the end there is a link to click that says "reprint license"

to the OP, I have no clue about your situation. seems like a screwed up deal if you did already have the license you would of bought for the spring draw.

Good to know.

I thought you only had so many days after the license purchase to reprint one, then after that you had to pay to reprint.

They finally changed it sometime this year. I was pretty excited because I have paid for a lot of duplicates. I don't know if it will work if you buy a license through a vendor like sportsmans, walmart, cabellas or bass pro tho.

It was lnly $5, im just colnfused why she didn't say "hey bozo you already bought her a license in february".

Also shouldn't it just automatically have started the active date the last day of curent license i forgot i purchased?

Called cathy at draw ofice and she asked me to call rosie who is in charge of desk people. cathy could not tell me why daughters license # automatically pulled up except that they dont know why disabled vet license, pioneer license, and lifetime i think do not automatically pop up but others do.. said it is Tech issue.

NOT ALL NEW THINGS ARE GOOD THINGS!

There is only 1 Jr. License now from the age of 10 to 17 both residents and non-residents pay $5 for a combo license. Jr tags are for the ages 10-17 but if he or she turn 18 during the hunt they can finish that hunt.
