creed Report post Posted June 11, 2014 I talked with a guy from the US Chamber of Commerce a month or so ago. He said it is a liberal strategy to secretly fund Tea Party candidates through individuals or shadow liberal organizations knowing that they can't win a general election in most cases. He used Harry Reid's last election as an example of what happens when a true conservative runs in a tight race. Don't know that I completely agree with him but he got me to thinking. Still, I would rather vote for a conservative than one like our senators.

DesertBull Report post Posted June 11, 2014 Cantor can't outspend Huffington Post giving free promotion to the Democrat strategy to oust him: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/... Democrat candidate was unopposed so Dems didn't need any votes. Told their voters to vote for Brat instead. Democrats nominated Brat, not Republicans. Cantor got as many votes tonight as he did in 2012

kkay Report post Posted June 11, 2014 Oops... I meant to say this strategy would most likely work in VA. As you know that is where most of the democratic DC workers reside. I can only imagine how intricate their emails and social networking is.
Edge Report post Posted June 11, 2014 Ouch, lost his yamaka. Now he needs to stay out of the race.
Dave Price Report post Posted June 11, 2014 Va. is an open primary state, looks like dem. hatred helped!
sjvcon Report post Posted June 11, 2014 I don't know about the whole Open Primary thing. I think it gives opportunity for some underhanded crap. If you are Independent, I see getting to vote in a primary if you request it. But if you are a Republican and want to eliminate a Dem or a Dem and you want to eliminate a Republican from competition, I don't know if I agree with that. Seems to me just another "game" to deal with, and elections are not games to me ... as we are seeing very clearly with this Lame BUTT at 1600 (Mr. I'll Do Whatever I Want). As for Cantor ... I don't know enough about what he stood for to know if it's a good or bad thing. If he was a RINO then good riddance to bad trash. There are a bunch of others that need to follow him ... McLame being one of the highest on my list.
