Freedom lost again

My beliefs are that we find our own truth.

Dustin I would never label you a Christian or non-Christian as that is not my place. But what I can tell you is you have said so many things (in this thread and others) I disagree with and that are inconsistent with the Christian faith and what the Bible teaches it's not even funny. If there is anything the Bible teaches it is to find truth in Jesus, not your own false truth. Further I don't know how many times you've mentioned hatred, tolerance, etc.. but none of us on here have said we "hate" gay people. Couldn't be further from the truth. Again, no one cares their sexual preference but my problem lies with society and mainstream media/Tv trying to brainwash our kids into thinking it is normal and ok when it is not what God intended for procreation and clearly goes against the Christian faith. You also mention "finding God" and how you've found "your" God which I'm not sure who that is but one thing I can tell you is the difference between all the other religions of the world and Christianity is that in every other religion people are striving to find God.. some claim success and some never do. However with Christianity God is reaching out to you trying like crazy to bring you to him through a personal relationship. You don't have to go searching.

Dustin I don't believe you are who you say you are. You claim to not be a liberal but I don't believe you. You have very liberal leanings which you have prominently displayed in this thread and several others. It's ok to come out of the liberal closet:) We will go easy on you haha.

I'm not a liberal.I'm just not extreme right.just keep in mind that gods been around a lot longer then religion, and that's the god I believe in.I don't need you to find a label for me.I don't even know what you mean that you don't believe I am who I say I am...what did I say I was that you don't believe?a hunter? I live and breathe hunting.a good person? I do the best I can, and I do some good, selfless things. Faithful? I have god in my life and there's no argument you can make to dispute the truth I feel inside.I just don't share some if your beliefs.dosent mean either of us is right or wrong.that's my point.

So again....I go back to positions on Polygamy, abortion, Sharia Law, etc.

Your positions on "God" ... though you say you need no label ... are very close to Buhdism. Not a bad thing ... just similar beliefs.

Though in Buhdism there is no "God"...just truth.

I meant more a political label...but I guess I agree to a certain extent.I just don't pretend to know exactly what god is.and i really dont have a need to know.as long as i live in my understanding of his will for me.I don't think anyone is even remotely capable of understanding god exactly.I just know I have conscious contact and i have no doubt in that.Who am I to say you're wrong? And vice versa.

Using that logic the Baker is not wrong.....those who would force him to do something against his will are.

Dustin you seem confused. Why not answer Sjvcon's questions?

Just a rant: One of the biggest downfalls in this society is people trying to modify, manipulate, and change Christianity to fit "their" truths or beliefs with the goal of making themselves feel more comfortable with how they behave or believe... when really they are sacrificing truths of the bible and going against God's word. You see it all the time... all the sudden things and actions that used to be sinful people now try to make acceptable because of the excuse "well we live in a different world now.. things aren't like they used to be"

Right and wrong will always remain the same and sin is sin.

I'll answer any question.... Then how do you explain the conflicting sects of Christianity? There are many, many forms of Christianity that do not agree with each other... Each of them with their own perception of the bible. And everyone thinks theirs is the right one.so it seems as if its not as black and white as you say it is

blahblahblah... then answer the questions dustin. As for your comment.... I can't speak for some of the off the wall crazy churches that claim to be Christian bible based but are as far from it as possible. Again I disagree.. it is more black and white than you think. Just because some crazy westboro church (and others like it) is a cult but hides under the name of Christianity we're suppose to acknowledge their BS? yeah not so much. And all the other crazy churches that have their own interpretation of the bible. They don't stand a chance and I don't put them in the same category with true christians. Anyone can take a bible and twist the words however they want just as the Jehovas have done. The majority of Christian bible based churches have it right and have a huge influence in changing peoples lives in this country.

I'm not going to continue to argue with you dustin. you can have the last word/comment... but I'm sure you'll comment 10 more times at least. You'd end up debating yourself if no one else replied.

So your sect is the only right one....typical. No need to get all worked up, I'm sorry if I offended you by saying what you believe isn't the only way.sorry, but its true.deal with it.

What still bothers me is why the baker has to be forced to do the cake. Why cant a business owner make his own decisions? If they are bad decisions

Then he will go out of business.

Why don't they force him to attend the ceremony too?

Back to my previous question. What if the newlyweds decide that they didn't like his cake or service? Where does this end? Why not just find another baker?

As a business owner, I can guarantee no one would force me to service someone I didn't want to. . There are a lot of ways to get out of doing something you don't want to do. You just have to be smarter than your opponent. I agree that this was probably a set up to further their cause.

I personally have no issue with who people love and want to spend their life with, but I believe a legal MARRIAGE should be between a man and woman.
