Freedom lost again

Recommended Posts

Haha oops! Anyways....There are large sects of Christianity that believe cutting your hair, women wearing shorts, and playing sports are sins.does that mean they're all wrong, and wrong is wrong? Well,no it doesn't.... And if anyone commits indecent exposure, they should pay the consequences, but that has nothing to do with being gay...

Then learn how to turn the channel and stop going to gay parades.problem solved. Not in your face unless you choose for it to be.What other people do and whats on tv is none of your business.be a respectful adult and dont participate its that simple.gay people are way down at the bottom of the list of things eroding our morals.being gay isnt even a moral issue.but judgement and hatred are.think about it...even if some religions are against being gay, that's a very small issue compared to the whole point of christianity , which is to be a decent, loving, non judgemental, humble, faithful person. Those attributes are exactly what are lost with this kind of condemning mentality.the main goal is sacrificed in fear and hate.I strongly doubt that is gods will.

Not quite there dustin. Problem not solved...I disagree. It is in your face almost everywhere you go and nearly everything you watch on tv. You can't put your child in a closet to hide from it. Simply not going to a parade or changing the channel doesn't resolve the issue of the gays ramming it down America's throat every chance they get. No doubt about it the liberals are doing everything they can to make our society more progressive and accepting of things we don't agree with morally. I think you are confusing some things. I am a Christian, I am accepting of gays but NOT their sexuality. I love them as a person but do not agree with their lifestyle. That is my right and I am not any less of a Christian because of that. I do not hate them I simply disagree with homosexuality as it was not God's intended plan and doesn't make any sense to me. Don't assume just because someone disagrees with homosexuality that they are a disrespectful hate filled bigot. That would be incorrect. I agree with you the point of Christianity is to live as Jesus did, be a decent, loving, humble, faithful person.... but that doesn't mean drop all of your convictions and don't stand your ground. Right is right and wrong is wrong.
I wouldn't sit here and argue with him anymore, nor waste your time with him critter. He's obviously pro gay and trying to reason with it is pointless. There's always a rebuttal when this point comes up.

You're absolutely right in what you say. We shouldn't have to tolerate this kind of garbage but the liberal and progressives cram it down our throats. Our society has gone down the crapper because of garbage like this.

You're not alone in your thinking. Unfortunately in this day and age we often have to stand alone in our beliefs due to the fact that the mainstream media has brainwashed society to "have to" tolerate crap like this.

Gods values and morals have not changed nor will ever change. The world has changed and man has changed as well. Having man/woman pro-marriage values and morals is living as God intended. Being brainwashed and living like the "world" wants to live isn't.

We were having a fine, friendly little debate til you came into it.the god I know is love, tolerance, humility, acceptance.these are morals taught by my god.not hate and fear.I'm tolerant because its clear to me that is gods will.if you choose to live in hate and fear, don't cram it down my throat either.I'm not brainwashed,I'm just not ignorant. Ever hear of love thy neighbor? Did I miss the foot note that said unless they are different then you in any way? If you stop and try to practice what your religion teaches you will see how far off this mentality is from spiritual living.

Its Gods "will" for a dude and a dude to marry......??? Ok. Like i said, there's no reasoning here.

Anyways, no time for ignorance. I'm done. Go ahead and have your little friendly "debate".

No its gods will to practice morals.its none of your business who gets married. Period. How entitled do you think you are to demand everyone to follow your beliefs, whether they agree or not?All I know is hate and fear ant not my gods will. I know god through experience, not what I've been told by man to believe.I strongly question who the brainwashed are.

I dont remember tolerance in the Bible. Sodom and Gomorrah ("gay" cities) didnt get much tolerance from God. It's not hate or fear it's doing what we know is right according to the scripture and not bowing down to pressure from man to accept. I think you missed a lot of footnotes or are using a modified book. God is love, he is not tolerant, humility is good, acceptance (I assume of deviant behaviors like homosexuality) not so much. You arent following the bible, you are like so many that want a feel good live and let live religion that let's you do whatever you want. Let's see how that works out for you.

I'll be wherever the good people go.I certainly won't be where the hypocritical, holier then thou, Sunday morning Christians go. Read up on how Jesus lived.I'm not even religious and it seems I know, respect, and take to heart how he lived more then 99% of Christians...sad....

Hate the sin...not the sinner.

Tolerance and acceptance does not mean that man should turn from the other teachings from the Bible on sin, does it? I would encourage anyone who thinks otherwise to read Romans, Corinthians, etc. If these are not the words of God, you might as well argue that the whole Bible is disposable...and then what or who is this "God" anyway. My faith keeps me from such questions just as Iit keeps me from hating the sinner.

I am curious dustin...what is your position on polygamy? Sharia Law? Abortion? These are all things that I have been told are "none of my business" as well.

Not trying to make the debate contentious, but several of your statements would seem to label me as a hater and a bigot...and ignorant. I take a bit of offense to that.

According to you, god is love....unless of course something believes differently then you in any way....then its OK to judge and hate. You are not god so let's not act like you have all the answers, because clearly you don't.

That last is not meant for you sjvcon....my point is yours, not to hate the 'sinner'...tho our perception of sin may be different. My beliefs are that we find our own truth. My god isn't a book or a stained glass window.my god isn't warped by teachings of man.ive met my god thru personal experience and painful, hopeless years. Then being freed.my belief is that I don't have all the answers and I'm FAR from perfect.because I'm not god. But neither is anyone else, so pushing beliefs to the point of hatred and ignorance is trying to play god.

I guess the number one thing is that god is not a religion.but people can use religion to find got.religion can also be abused and exploited, god cannot. And the point is to live in gods will, and I believe strongly there is not only one right way to accomplish that.

So is your position that the Bible is NOT God's word?

My position is the bible is not the only path to having conscious contact with god. I know it in fact, I have god in my life without religion. But I am not anti religion in any way.I guess I believe that it doesn't matter by what means you find god, the important thing is that you do.
