The media calling him the "last POW" is bothersome. Almost as if they are tempting the Taliban or Al Qaeda to take more. I imagine more POWs is pretty appealing right now as they know America pays well for even it's lowliest peon troops.

I am all for heroic measures to return any of our troops...none of them are peons when defending country. However, this scum was not a troop. He made the decision to leave...should have suffered the consequences of his decision.

If it adds any clarification or feel good, I spent the better part of 8 years as an Army Military Policeman. 5 of those years were in the 82d Airborne Division where a bad landing ended the Airborne portion of my service. I spent a lot of time as a lowly peon. They are all heroes. The point I was making is thatthe bad guys don't have to capture high ranking individuals. Any ol' troop will do.

At what point do the democrats finally admit to themselves that they really really really screwed up in electing obama. It blows my mind that some are still proud of this sneaky liar we have to somehow call our president. There must be some kind of deep seated mechanism in democrats minds that allows them to look at themselves in the mirror without feeling totally embarrassed about this guy. New report says Berdahl renounced his citizenship in his farewell letter. The letter that the military won't let anyone see and made those that knew sign a non-disclosure statement.

You guys mean that ya think trading Five top Taliban leaders and fighters for a POS wanna be Taliban may have been a mistake????? ROFLMAO. I believe the only reason we got the POS back is the Taliban felt he was a PUS. And wanted to send him back to the states to prove his worth to them. if what people are saying is true i wouldnt doubt that they brought him back to punish him. i could definately see that happening if things havent changed since ive been out. we will just have to wait and see.
