BowHuntAZ Report post Posted May 29, 2014 Hoping someone on here knows their plants and deer / elk biology better than I do. I found these plants popping up in large amounts at a couple of areas that I've been keeping an eye on that typicaly holds elk and mule deer. They are spreading like ground cover. Some already have flowers and some haven't sprouted yet. My question is, is this edible for deer or elk, or is it a noxious weed that's not good for an area? Elkaddict Report post Posted May 29, 2014 Years ago while archery hunting deer by Kendrick Mtn. The lupine seeds seemed to be the preferred food source at the time. Since then I think about that hunt every time I see a bunch of lupine. Pretty flower and plant. I've collected seeds and put them around my property, looking healthy right now but no flowers yet.
