Guest oneshot Report post Posted May 25, 2014 I went into the mid-point of the old Range this morning to hunt for some more relics and here are the finds... Stopped at 40 .50 caliber bullets, my pocket was getting full, so I hunted for other calibers and found two different style .30 caliber bullets and three .30 cal. cases... Bullets outnumber cases by a large margin, I wonder if the brass was policed??? I also taped a strong magnet to my flipping stick, and the magnet was covered in steel filings... The coolest find was the .50cal bullet sticking out base first... These are all surface finds, no digging... If anyone is interested in this area and hunting-up pieces of history, PM me and I'll give dirrections/hints for finding these relics(State Land, leased to a cattle rancher)... azslim Report post Posted May 25, 2014 brass was probably already policed up and sold long ago lived in Indian Springs Nev as a kid, that is where the Thunderbirds are stationed and practiced, we used to find all sorts of stuff out in the desert around the base. Guest oneshot Report post Posted May 26, 2014 Looks like fun. I need burn some rubber off my boots. I cant just step-out for a few hours and hunt morels, ginseng, or arrowheads from the fields here in Arizona... So this feeds that urge... I Gotta Hunt Something!!!
