Coach Report post Posted May 25, 2014 The militarization of police in this country is huge cause for concern. Not long ago, only a few prestigious police forces had S.W.A.T. teams. Now every small town has it's own S.W.A.T. team equipped with MRAPs (Mine Resistant Ambush Protected) vehicles, M4's, ma-duece (Browning .50 cal machinegun) and we're told it's just for serving warrants in "high risk areas". I posted on this earlier but why does the USDA, the SSA buying .40 cal submachineguns and stockpiles of ammo not scare the heck out of anyone? This is the U.S. Department of Agriculture and the Social Security Administration, both policy branches with little to no law enforcement prescription, arming to the teeth - if that isn't foreshadowing, I don't know what is.
DesertBull Report post Posted May 25, 2014 We cannot continue to rely only on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives that we've set. We've got to have a civilian national security force that's just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded. No Kidding Coach! The Yuma County Sheriffs Office has a Bearcat and an MRAP. Never heard of or seen an IED in Yuma other than the ones they test at YPG. Overkill! If these guys want to act like soldiers join the Marines and go fight real bad guys that shoot back!

Its far easier to assert your alpha male status by picking on unarmed or at least underarmed, civilians.
Coach Report post Posted June 1, 2014 And then there's this: http://www.thetruthaboutguns.com/2014/05/robert-farago/from-the-annals-of-police-militarization-ga-swat-burn-toddler-with-stun-grenade/ This is the second article I've read lately about a little kid getting hit with a flash-bang when the cops could have simply knocked on the door and watched all exits. This stuff is getting out of control - fast.
DesertBull Report post Posted June 1, 2014 Can everyone just please vote for Rand Paul in the primary? The closest thing to real conservative since Reagan. These establishment RINOs and Marxist liberals are the same. He's not perfect but Jeb Bush / Hillary....really?

Coach Report post Posted June 1, 2014 I'll vote for any man that stands against tyranny. My first choice is Allen West. Whether he runs or not is up in the air.
