Lv2hnt Report post Posted May 20, 2014 Brings back memories (my 1st car was a '59 convertible) --- remember filling up the tank for $2 back when. This will make someone a FUN vehicle to get out and about in ...
stanley Report post Posted May 20, 2014 Definitely brings back memories. 69 Bug was what I drove in highschool. Completely stock with pizza-cutter tires and still could NEVER get that thing stuck in a sand wash (Litterally, my friends and I tried many times....)! Amazing sand cars!!! This car should sell fast. Wish I had some extra cash right now! S.
Coach Report post Posted May 20, 2014 Man, that bug looks familiar. Last time I hunted the San Carlos I met an older gentleman out driving and camping around Coffee Pot Well out a bug that looked a lot like that going from memory. I think he was a contract trapper for the rez. Same bug?
KDL Report post Posted May 20, 2014 I wish I was a contracted trapper for the rez but this bug was my wife's great grandfather's he bought it brand new in 1965 then I bought it from his astate a few years back. But as far as the gas mileage it is extremely good 1 tank will last me a few weeks I use it to drive back and forth to work. The only reason I'm selling to to fund a jeep xj project but if it doesn't sell I will still have a nice little machine.
