elmergoo Report post Posted January 6, 2007 It all comes down to which company pays the most money for a professional to shoot.I believe P.S.E. never paid a dime to anyone to shoot their bows.
CouesFanatic Report post Posted January 7, 2007 I have owned and shot the Matthews Switchback, Hoyt Trykon and Bowtech Allegiance. I'm still sporting the Matthews. I'm curious to see how many people have shot more than the one bow they own, and on a regular basis. Anyone?
BowNut Report post Posted January 7, 2007 You know I wonder about claims like this, I have read from Mathews and Martin very similar claims, " We win 95% of all tournaments in the last year" How many friggin tourneys are there? 658% of all tournaments are won by any of the top bows. I personally shoot a Mathews and have owned 5 or 6 of them so I know that I contribute to the problem, but I would like to know how they come to their certain conclusions. There are tons of shoots! I got all them off the Hoyt web site. I don't see any of the others giving who won and when they just advertise a % like you said. This is a hunting site anyway I should have left that off my post anyway.

bobbyo Report post Posted January 7, 2007 I don't want to know which bows make great archers shoot great. I want to know which bows make crummy archers shoot great. I don't think the Tournament title standings is going to help answer that question. Maybe we should find out which bows win in the novice division. The only thing about manufacters that we know for sure is that HOYT is pure evil. I think their next bow is going to be called 'Satan'. The newest in the Darth Vader line up. gotcoues Report post Posted January 7, 2007 I shoot a pse firestorm, I definately like my bow and the idea I am supporting a local company. I assume pse bows are as good as the rest of the pack, but I have been tempted to try out a mathews bow. Oops did I say out loud.
TREESTANDMAN Report post Posted January 7, 2007 If you want the best bow to make a crummy archery shoot good then get an older round cam bow or soft cam bow. Very forgiving bows w/ longer brace heights. They won't be fast and the let off % will be much lower but very forgiving and will shoot a buck dead just as well as the pricier bows. GRONG Report post Posted January 8, 2007 Josh, Are you still shooting fingers? Wondered why you didn't pick the AR37? No fingers since I went with the drop-away rest and sights. If I go back to the Oneida it'll be fingers for me once again. I don't see that happening though, unless I'm shooting carp in the river.
dave Report post Posted January 8, 2007 If you have time to use all the stuff you can sure shoot better. Works pretty good for antelope, mentally retarded deer and other challenged animals. I don't think you can beat someone like the lbstickmaster shooting instinctive. Not too many guys can do that. No way I can. I guess stick bows are not on the list.
