Rembrant Report post Posted January 26, 2007 Way to be you guys!! Love your story. That's what the late Coues archery hunt is all about. You just gave me a shot in the arm. My buddy and I know all about those deerless days. Your story is soaked in perseverance, and you guys aren't afraid of, or discouraged by hunting your butts off. Congratulations! Coues 'n' Sheep Report post Posted January 27, 2007 Nice buck crazy$COUES! Congrats!!! I am posting another buck..... today for my son, Colton. Colton is one of the best, if not The Best, archery coues deer hunters I know. He has logged more hours in the woods after a monster coues than any two hunters I know. This is his 5th coues buck with a bow..... while it is no "monster"..... it is a good buck that he is happy to have taken. Colton was fortunate enough to have seen 6 different bucks that would have taped at over 100" this January..... only one time was he able to get off a shot..... and was rejected by a tree branch that was between him and that monster buck at 40yds. He passed up bucks in the 80" and 90" classes day after day and logged in literally hundreds of does & fawns. It has been three years since he has posted this much effort and harvested a buck. Now at age 18 he has reacquired his passion for archery coues deer hunting. I can't express how wonderful it is to watch a young man come back to himself after a rough bout with his teenage years. Don't get me wrong..... he has logged in some hours in the past 3 years and passed up some Really Nice bucks..... but for us, he really didn't have his heart in it these past couple of years. So this buck of average size, holds the weight of a true Trophy for me as a Dad. And in the years to come..... when he does finally harvest the "Buck of a Lifetime" it will be more than special..... it will be well earned and Very well deserved. I am proud of you Son and Thank You. PS:::::: This is buck #6 from the "Honey Hole"!
GameHauler Report post Posted January 27, 2007 Way to do it Colton. Ain't nothing wrong with that buck. Glad to see your hearts back in it. Went thru the same with Linnea but her bull hunt got her heart back. Congrates to you to Gino, you guys deserve those bucks with all the effort you put in. p.s. Colton I can see your eyes in this pic Mike

Coues 'n' Sheep Report post Posted January 28, 2007 Congrats on the buck Colton. But let me get this straight. Coues N Sheep you are 31 and your son is 18? That would have made you 13 years old when your son was born? Hey, Little Bear. Pretty cool, eh! You are right on those ages. And I have raised him since I was 18 yrs old..... married his Mom when I was 19. And yes, would whip any one who would argue that he is not my Son. Besides.... he is good looking like me. LOL!!!!!
