Big Browns Report post Posted April 14, 2014 To be honest, I couldn't remember who Cliff was either, but I knew it sounded familar. As soon as you said cheers I started laughing. I loved that show!!!! Thanks, they were a lot of fun to catch! I've never understood why Carp get a bad reputation. They fight hard, easy to catch & there huge! That's a recipe for Awesome in my book!

Antmo23 Report post Posted April 14, 2014 We hammer them at the ASU research park on bread and dates from the palm trees when in season. dang thing sounds like a marble hitting the water and they fight each other just to get hooked. I've also caught them on mesquite beans.
tjhunt2 Report post Posted April 15, 2014 I hope you do not take that wrong! It was meant as a compliment!!! BigBrowns, those are some really nice looking carp and are probably a blast to catch!!!!! Those who know me know I was born under a rock and not the smartest marble in the jar. Heck yeah I'll take that as a compliment since I don't get many. Need to know any other non important information just ask. TJ

Going to hit the canals when the wife gets home. Thanks Big Browns for the idea. Hope to land at least one.....

bowhuntaz1 Report post Posted April 15, 2014 />I hope you catch a monster!!!!!! Take some pics. First spot caught a White Amur on some bread. Not a giant but still stripped some line off the real. Moved to a different canal. Caught a little cat on corn. Then I thought I had another Amur; but turned out to be this very nice cat on corn. She was longer than a 7 gallon bucket. It looked like she might have some eggs in her so I put her back. Went to another canal. Caught some carp, and more little cats on bread and corn. Had a blast. Going to take my 5 year old out in a few days when she is feeling better. Thanks Big Browns for the reminder that there is fish 3 minutes from my house.
