788 .243 carbine new price at bottom

Recommended Posts

I bought this rifle here, and when I bought it, it needed some work. I stripped the stock, bright out the grain and sanded it down, then refinished it with 8 coats of minwax, I then sprayed 5 thin coats of matte sealer. Next up was the metal. I had it cerakoted graphite black, with the firing pin housing and trigger guard done in burnt bronze. I then replaced the scope and rings. I put period correct one piece Weaver rings, and a brand new Nikon Prostaff 3-9x40 with bdc reticle (which I have the box for). I also bought a extra magazine. I have not fired the rifle, I have several test loads loaded up with 87 gr Hornady Bthp bullets, and IMR 7828ssc I will include.

I am only selling to help fund my unit 9 elk tag hunt.

$600 ftf, located in Tucson/Marana. I will meet as far north as Casa Grande and as far south as 19/10 interchange.

This is before I changed the scope and had the metal treated. Shows the figure in the stock well.

You did all the work yourself? I have a 788 in .308 that I am trying to figure out what to do with..

Gotta purge something for the tag/hunt.

Hope you get your price...it just might cover your scouting gas expense.
