azcoyote Report post Posted April 15, 2014 I have bought a bear tag each time I go just in case and it seems like bear are taken so fast that it just might be pointless. Does anyone ever get a bear that isn't with hounds or a guide?
Big Browns Report post Posted April 15, 2014 You can not use hounds during the spring hunts. The spring hunts are usually very difficult, but someone usually get's luck:)

Hyperwrx Report post Posted April 26, 2014 I got one last year. Based on high acorn yield, I mapped out where the Oak trees where plus looked for the thickest groupings of trees and shot one on the first day. This year I was along for a youth turkey hunt and found a few other areas that fit last years criteria. No bear this year but it was super dry and any acorns around were left from last year.

kidso Report post Posted April 27, 2014 Nice light brown color. Very nice. Hair looks nice too. What month did you shoot it? You obviously skinned it for a rug. Have you gotten it back from the taxidermist yet?
