GlockMan Report post Posted April 4, 2014 Has anyone shot or own a Rock island 1911? I'm looking into to a Rock Island tactical with VZ grips in either 45 or 10mm... Is it good? reliable? accurate? What do you think?
Big Browns Report post Posted April 4, 2014 If your looking for a gun that will go bang every time you pull the trigger it will work. If your looking for a really nice looking or tight fitting gun you will need to find something else. Adam
AverageJoe Report post Posted April 4, 2014 Sorry but I would never count on a 1911 to go bang every time. Just have had bad luck I guess but each one I have owned has let me down
DesertBull Report post Posted April 4, 2014 If I were looking for an entry level 1911 I would consider the Springfield Mil-Spec or G.I. Easy to add upgrades on your own too. A little here and little there over time and pretty soon you have a pretty nice pistol.
sherman Report post Posted April 5, 2014 I have a 1911A Rock Island it is a nice gun for the price. But for just a few hundred more you could get a kimber. But i bought mine from my dad for $300 with 5 magazines all loaded. I have put 300-400 rounds down it and not one jam, stovepipe, or ftf
