In the market for new bow

Recommended Posts

I'm in the market for a new bow. Don't really have a lot of money to spend $500-$700 and was wondering if anybody had any reviews on the newer models of PSE bows. I have a Hoyt power tech now and love it but it's time for a new bow. Any suggestions or reviews would be appreciated.

Thanks and god speed

Look at the new Carbon Knight by bow tech, I think its around $700 bare bow or Diamond makes a carbon bow fully set up for around 7 ready to hunt, mission by Mathews might be another route to take as well. A lot of options in your price range for new bows.

I picked up one of the new pse models this past holiday season. Ended up going with the Drive LT. $500 bare bow I believe. I love this bow!! Tried out a whole lot in the shopping process. The bow madness was another one that I tried and liked. Every PSE bow that I tested, I liked and had no complaints about them. You really just need to get out there and start shooting some bows though to find what YOU like best. Good luck!

I would say try them all but definitely the PSE Drive LT at 336 Feet Per Second and $499 bare bow with adjustments to 31 inch draw as well as a 7" brace height is a top pick......and compact too...speed isn't everything, but that's what the guys without it always say...LOL

You need to shoot an elite. I have owned most brands of bows, and this elite answer is the best ive shot. Another plus is the transferable warranty. Check out ebay. You can get a very nice elite for the price you want.

Thanks for the info everyone. Definitely gonna shoot as many bows as I can but I'm leaning towards hoyt just because the bow I have now is a hoyt and it's the best bow I've ever owned. But also would want to support and arizona based company is pse.

Home team between them two from my POV.

I shot just alot of bows (Elite, PSE, Matthews, Hoyt, Bowtech)before settling on a Prime Impact. VERY nice and smooth draw. Ross outdoors carries them as well as the others listed above, except Hoyt). Primes are bit pricey, but worth every penny. If you go down there, Nathan or Josiah will take care of you. Great guys to deal with. Hoyt Faktors are nice too but expensive. I had a PSE Omen. Nice and very fast, but no valley and it hurt my shoulder to shoot for long periods of time. I shot the DNA, decent draw, still fast. Prophecy is the top of the line "standard" series-single cam, very fast, seemed harsher to me than the DNA. The BowMadness 3G was pretty smooth and decently fast (330 I believe). I almost bought one before I shot the Primes. I like the longer axle to axle bows.

I love my pse. I agree about trying to get a top of the line. You could probably get a 2013 model that's been marked down.
